Dane from Steeltown Anthem wanted to get a glimpse into the spatial styling of a personal stylist. So she, accompanied by beautiful photographer Kristy, stopped by my apartment the other day to chat and snap some photos.
We laughed and bonded over 70′s decor, notes of positive inspiration, and the gorgeous natural light streaming through the windows. My kitty Thistle upped the entertainment factor by showcasing the spunky side of her personality.
Kelly is rocking “Cerulean Charm”, an upcycled dress by Buttercup Blues, designed specifically for her! Kelly is the sultry front lady of the intoxicating band, BIG HURRY.
Kelly will grab your attention with her powerful voice, so i chose this striking blue color to match her volcanic presence. The detailing on the chest of the dress and strand of antique skeleton keys represents the marriage of the melodic fem with the raw rock that captures Big Hurry’s stage show.

Gutter Posh is a new series of reconstructed hoodies from Buttercup Blues!
For this ongoing series of grungy flannel / work gear hoodies, Rachel hunts and rescues flannels, old work clothes & uniforms, hoodies, and other interesting fabrics, deconstructing and then reconstructing her finds. Saving these gems from landfills is what drives this project, but the gutter posh finish is the satisfying payoff. Other marrying details in this collection include zigzag stitching, elbow patches, and bold thread choices. Each numbered item in the Gutter Posh series is one of a kind, individually designed and constructed by hand.
